1. Service
AntiqBot offers an AI-powered analysis service for antiques and collectibles. The service includes visual recognition, identification assessment and value estimation based on uploaded images.
2. Nature of the analysis
AntiqBot provides an AI-generated indication based on visual analysis. The result is not an expert statement, certificate or appraisal report in a legal sense. For definitive verification or valuation, we always recommend physical examination by a qualified expert. Analysis results are presented as probability scores and are based on what is visually observable in the submitted photographs. Factors not visible in images (material composition, weight, provenance documentation) fall outside the scope of the analysis.
3. No guarantee
AntiqBot is a tool and not a substitute for professional appraisal or expertise. AntiqBot does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or currency of any analysis. Decisions regarding purchase, sale or insurance based on AntiqBot analyses are entirely at the user’s own risk.
4. Credits and payment
Each analysis costs 1 credit. Credits are purchased in advance and are non-refundable after use. Purchased credits are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase or from the date of the most recent credit purchase, whichever is later. After this period, unused credits expire automatically without entitlement to a refund. Each new purchase resets the expiration date to 12 months from that moment, including for any existing credits. Payments are processed through a secure payment service. Prices include VAT where applicable.
5. Right of withdrawal
In accordance with European distance selling legislation, you as a consumer have the right to a 14-day withdrawal period after purchasing credits. If at the time of purchase you expressly consent to the immediate provision of the digital service and acknowledge that you thereby waive your right of withdrawal, refund of used credits is not possible. This consent is actively requested and recorded during the purchase process.
6. Usage
You may use AntiqBot for personal or commercial purposes (trade, appraisal, collecting). It is not permitted to use the service for fraudulent purposes, such as deliberately presenting reproductions as originals based on AntiqBot analyses. Automated use (scraping, bot traffic) is not permitted. AntiqBot reserves the right to terminate accounts and cooperate with competent authorities in case of suspected fraud or abuse.
7. Age requirement
The service is exclusively available to users aged 18 and over. By creating an account, you confirm that you are of legal age. AntiqBot is not liable for use by minors.
8. Intellectual property
The analysis reports generated by AntiqBot may be freely used, shared and published by you (for example in sales listings). The underlying technology, AI models, methods, training data and knowledge base remain the exclusive property of AntiqBot. Use of the service does not grant you any ownership rights or licence to the underlying technology.
9. Liability
AntiqBot is not liable for direct or indirect damages arising from the use of the analysis service. This includes, but is not limited to: financial loss from purchases or sales based on analyses, incorrect identification or value estimation, and technical failures or data loss. This limitation does not apply to damages caused by wilful misconduct or gross negligence on the part of AntiqBot. AntiqBot’s liability is in all cases limited to the amount paid by the user to AntiqBot in the twelve months preceding the damage event.
10. Failed analyses
If an analysis fails due to a technical error on our side (server error, timeout, incomplete report), the credit used will be refunded automatically or upon request. Analyses that have been completed successfully but do not meet your expectations do not entitle you to a refund.
11. Account
You are responsible for the security of your account. Do not share your login credentials with third parties. AntiqBot reserves the right to block or terminate accounts in case of misuse or violation of these terms, without entitlement to refund of remaining credits.
12. Privacy and data processing
AntiqBot processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The full terms regarding data processing, retention periods, your rights as a data subject and the contact details of the data controller are set out in our separate Privacy Policy, available on the website. Uploaded images are used exclusively for performing the requested analysis and are not used for training or commercial purposes without your explicit consent.
13. Changes
AntiqBot reserves the right to amend these terms. Significant changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance by email or via a notice on the website. Continued use after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
14. Applicable law and disputes
These terms are governed by Belgian law. Disputes shall preferably be resolved by mutual agreement. If no resolution is reached, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts in Belgium. Consumers within the EU may additionally use the European Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
